As of now, the Bangalore Metro has two functional lines — green and purple. These aren’t fully complete yet, but already have over 5 Lakh daily commuters (pre-pandemic).

In our last blog, we told you all about Namma Metro’s purple line. Today, we’re taking you through the green line. Keep reading to find out about the Bangalore metro green line stations, fares, timings & more!
At the moment, the green line is 30.5km long. Once completed, it will be 33.5km long. It runs from Silk Institute in the south to Nagasandra in the northwest. On this line, there are currently 29 stations that are operational. There are three more stations left to complete the green line.

Now, coming to the rest of the line. As we mentioned earlier, there are three more stations left to be completed on this line. This will take the length of the line to 33.5km. Once these are added, the green line would extend from right from Silk Institute to Madavara (BIEC — Bangalore International Exhibition Centre). This stretch is estimated to be completed by January 2022.
